Thrones

So often we who come out of Christianity, bring with us thing we learned from it. An example of this is some still hold to the trinity doctrine, or even a oneness doctrine In both cases setting Messiah Yahushua at an equal place with Yahweh as THE Elohim. Because of this I would like us to concentrate on who is where. Many without really considering it assume that Yahushua sits on the thrown of Elohim. But I think a close look at scripture can show us that they each have their own place, and that Yahweh is the one and only Elohim.

So to start let's take a look at just where the throne of Yahweh is. 1Ki 22:19 And he said, Hear therefore the Word of Yahweh: I saw Yahweh sitting on His throne, and all the host of Shâmayim standing by Him on His right hand and on His left. Psa 11:4 Yahweh is in His set apart temple; Yahweh's throne is in Shâmayim; His eyes behold, His eyelids examine the children of men. Isa 66:1 So says Yahweh, Shâmayim is My throne, and earth My footstool. Where, then, is the house that you build for Me? And where is the place of My rest? Mat 5:34 But I say to you, Do not swear at all! Not by Shâmayim, because it is Elohim's throne; Mat 23:22 And he who shall swear by Shâmayim swears by the throne of Elohim, and by Him who sits on it.

So we can see here that Yahweh's throne is in Shâmayim /Heaven. So then is this also Yahushua’s throne? What we were taught was yes, they share the throne because they are one. Some like to quote Rev 3:21 to make the case that he does. Rev 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father in His throne. Is this right? Is this proof that they share the throne in Shâmayim? If so, how can the twelve also sit on Messiahs throne when it's Yahweh's throne in Shâmayim? In a careful reading of Rev 3:21, and other contextual scriptures we will see that it is metaphorical, and is dealing with Yahushua sharing his authority that Yahweh had also shared with him.

Yahushua is waiting to take his throne, so now let's take some time to look at where scripture holds Messiah until he takes his throne. Psalms 80:17 Let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand, on the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself. Matthew 26:64 Yahushua said to him, You said it. I tell you more. From this time you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of the heavens. Mark 14:61 But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, Are you the Messiah, the son of the Blessed? Mark 14:62 And Yahushua said, I am! And you will see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of the heaven. Luke 22:69 From now on the Son of Man shall sit at the right hand of the power of Elohim. Acts 7:56 And he said, Behold, I see Heaven opened and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of Elohim. Now that looks as if it could be saying that Yahushua is on that throne, but note that in Psalms 80:17 this is one that Yahweh made strong. Also in Matthew 26:64, Mark 14:62, and Luke 22:69, Yahushua is sitting on the right hand of power, that would be next to the power, Now lets add Hebrews 8:1 and Rev 5:13 Hebrews 8:1 Now the summary of what we are saying is: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the Shâmayim, Rev 5:13 And I heard every creature which is in Shâmayim and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are in the sea, and all who are in them, saying, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him sitting on the throne, AND to the Lamb forever and ever.

Here we find Yahushua at the right hand of the throne in Hebrews, and in Revelations we find the one on the throne, and then the lamb. Now surely we all know with what authority and power Yahushua our Messiah came in, and is still in to this day, he had it all, so why not the throne? Let's see if we can find the answer in Joseph and Pharaoh. Gen 41:40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall kiss the hand at your word. Only in the throne will I be greater than you. Gen 41:41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt. Gen 41:42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand. And he dressed him with fine linen robes, and put a gold chain around his neck. Gen 41:43 And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had, and they cried before him, Bow the knee! And he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. Gen 41:44 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without a word from you, no man shall lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

We can see here that Joseph was the ruler over all of Egypt, But he did not do so from the throne of Egypt, but instead by the power invested in him from the throne of Egypt. Simply put, Joseph ruled Egypt by the authority of Pharaoh. Or Joseph ruled Egypt but was not Pharaoh.

OK, if this is making any sense to you, you still might be saying to yourself, "but still, Messiah has a throne", and I agree, so let's now look into that subject. Let's start with what some might find an odd question for finding Yahushua's throne. What was the justification for Messiah’s death? Mat 26:64 יהושע said to him, “You have said it. Besides I say to you, from now you shall see the Son of Aḏam sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of the heaven.” Mat 26:65 Then the high priest tore his garments, saying, “He has blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? See, now you have heard His blasphemy! Mat 26:66 “What do you think?” And they answering, said, “He is liable to death.”

So here we read that the Jews had finally found the reason to call for his death, they had put into place a law that anyone saying the full name of Yahweh in a curse, or even a blessing, they were subject to death for blasphemy . This was the only real law at that time for blasphemy and the only time ever that a priest could in court rent his clothing. But what they lacked at this time was the ability to carry out sentence for a crime leading to death, they needed Rome for this, but Rome was not going to kill a man for saying a name. They had to come up with charges that would equal the punishment they were seeking. Luk 23:1 And the entire assembly of them, having risen up, led Him to Pilate, Luk 23:2 and began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this one perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Messiah, a King.” Luk 23:3 And Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Yahuḏim?” And answering him He said, “You say it.” So what took place that day was Messiah was to die for what he actually was. Mat 27:37 And they put up over His head His accusation, written, THIS IS YAHUSHUA THE KING OF THE YAHUDIM.

You see this is the promise all throughout scripture, this is what Messiah was always suppose to come and do, he is to take the throne of his father David. 2Sa 7:8 “And now, say to My servant Dawiḏ, ‘Thus said יהוה of hosts, “I took you from the pasture, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Yisraʼĕl. 2Sa 7:9 “And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a great name, like the name of the great ones who are on the earth. 2Sa 7:10 “And I shall appoint a place for My people Yisraʼĕl, and shall plant them, and they shall dwell in a place of their own and no longer be afraid, neither shall the children of wickedness oppress them again, as at the first, 2Sa 7:11 even from the day I appointed rulers over My people Yisraʼĕl, and have caused you to rest from all your enemies. And יהוה has declared to you that He would make you a house. 2Sa 7:12 “When your days are filled and you rest with your fathers, I shall raise up your seed after you, who comes from your inward parts, and shall establish his reign. 2Sa 7:13 “He does build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his reign forever. 2Sa 7:14 “I am to be his Father, and he is My son. If he does perversely, I shall reprove him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. 2Sa 7:15 “But My kindness does not turn aside from him, as I turned it aside from Shaʼul, whom I removed from before you. 2Sa 7:16 “And your house and your reign are to be steadfast forever before you – your throne is established forever.” ʼ ”

Psa 89:2 For I said, “Kindness is built up forever; You establish Your trustworthiness in the heavens.” Psa 89:3 You said, “I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn to My servant Dawiḏ: Psa 89:4 ‘I establish your seed forever, And shall build up your throne to all generations.’ ” Selah. Psa 89:5 And the heavens praise Your wonders, O יהוה, Your trustworthiness, too, In the assembly of the set-apart ones. Psa 89:34 “I shall not profane My covenant, Neither would I change what has gone out from My lips. Psa 89:35 “Once I have sworn by My set-apartness, I do not lie to Dawiḏ: Psa 89:36 “His seed shall be forever, And his throne as the sun before Me; Psa 89:37 “Like the moon, it is established forever, And the witness in the heaven is steadfast.” Selah.

Isa 9:6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor of mighty El the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isa 9:7 There is no end of the increase of His government and peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Hosts will do this. Zec 12:8 In that day Yahweh shall defend around the people of Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them at that day shall be like David; and the house of David shall be like Elohim, like the Angel of Yahweh before them.

Act 2:29 Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Messiah to sit upon his throne, Luk 1:31 And behold! You shall conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call His name Yahushua. Luk 1:32 He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest. And Yahweh Elohim shall give him the throne of His father David. Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end.

Now we do have one that is tricky in the English Psa 132:11 יהוה has sworn in truth to Dawiḏ; He does not turn from it, “Of the fruit of your body I set upon your throne. Many have used this to say that Elohim as the seed of David set on David's throne. But when we understand the word "set" to speak of the appointment or placement of something or someone" Of the fruit of your body I place upon your throne ", it simply becomes another of the many places of the promise to David concerning his Master Yahushua taking his throne. So according to scripture, Yahweh’s throne is in Shâmayim, and is Shâmayim. and Yahushua’s throne is the throne of David. An earthly thrown that will rule over all of mankind. So why do we not see this throne, seeing that Yahushua has come? Messiah came to free us from death, but, not from the shadow of death, this earthly death is the shadow of the second death, and that is the true death Rev 2:10 “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. See, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, in order to try you, and you shall have pressure ten days. Be trustworthy until death, and I shall give you the crown of life. Rev 2:11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death. Rev 20:6 Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years have ended, Satan shall be released from his prison, Rev 20:8 and he shall go out to lead the nations astray which are in the four corners of the earth, Goḡ and Maḡoḡ, to gather them together for battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. Rev 20:9 And they came up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the set-apart ones and the beloved city. And fire came down from Elohim out of the heaven and consumed them. Rev 20:10 And the devil, who led them astray, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet are. And they shall be tortured day and night forever and ever. Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Rev 20:14 And the death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.1 Rev 20:15 And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Rev 21:8 “But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.” He at his resurrection became the first born from the dead, and also at this time, Yahweh took him as his son. Psa 2:7 “I inscribe for a law: יהוה has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have brought You forth. Act 13:32 “And we bring you the Good News, the promise made to the fathers, Act 13:33 that Elohim has filled this for us, their children, having raised up יהושע, as it has also been written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son, today I have brought You forth.’ Rom 1:4 who was designated Son of Elohim with power, according to the Set-apart Spirit, by the resurrection from the dead: יהושע Messiah, the Master of us,

But he also at this time sat down next to Yahweh's throne, and is there waiting till his enemies are put under his feet. Psa 110:1 יהוה said to my Master, “Sit at My right hand, Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

Death is one of those enemies, this being the result of the first Adam, and it must play out tell the end. Yahushua is a second Adam, and he did not fail us, but that kingdom only comes after this one plays out to the end, and we pay the price that the first Adam placed upon us. 1Co 15:20 But now Messiah has been raised from the dead, and has become the first-fruit of those having fallen asleep. 1Co 15:21 For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a Man. 1Co 15:22 For as all die in Aḏam, so also all shall be made alive in Messiah . 1Co 15:23 And each in his own order: Messiah the first-fruits, then those who are of Messiah at His coming, 1Co 15:24 then the end, when He delivers up the reign to Elohim the Father, when He has brought to naught all rule and all authority and power. 1Co 15:25 For He has to reign until He has put all enemies under His feet. 1Co 15:26 The last enemy to be brought to naught is death. 1Co 15:27 For “He has put all under His feet.” But when He says “all are put under Him,” it is clear that He who put all under Him is excepted. 1Co 15:28 And when all are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself shall also be subject to Him who put all under Him, in order that Elohim be all in all.

So we are waiting for all of Yahweh's word concerning this world to be fulfilled, then shall we see the entrance of the new world and our Messiah. Heb 1:1 Elohim, who at many times and in many ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds, Heb 1:3 who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, through Himself cleansing of our sins, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high,

Psa 110:1 Heb 1:4 being made so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Heb 1:5 For to which of the angels did He say at any time, "You are My Son, this day I have begotten You?" And again, "I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son?" Heb 1:6 And again, when He brings in the First-born into the world, He says, "And let all the angels of Elohim worship Him." Heb 1:7 And of the angels He says, "Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire." Heb 1:8 But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O mighty one, is forever and ever. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. Isa 9:7 Luk 1:32 Rev 3:7 Heb 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity, therefore mighty one, Your Mighty One, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows." Heb 1:10 And, "You, Master, have laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning, and Shâmayim are the works of Your hands. Heb 1:11 They shall perish, but You will remain. And they shall all become old as a garment, Heb 1:12 and as a covering You shall fold them up, and they shall be changed. But You are the same, and Your years shall not fail." Heb 1:13 But to which of the angels, did He say at any time, "Sit on My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool?" Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for those who shall be heirs of salvation? Heb 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. Heb 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and if every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward, Heb 2:3 how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Master, and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him; Heb 2:4 Elohim also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with different kinds of miracles and gifts of the Set apart Spirit, according to His own will? Heb 2:5 For He has not put in subjection to the angels the world to come, of which we speak. Mat 25:31 But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the set apart angels with Him, then He shall sit on the throne of His glory. Mat 25:32 And all nations shall be gathered before Him. And He shall separate them from one another, as a shepherd divides the sheep from the goats. Rev 21:1 And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. Rev 21:2 And I, Yohanan, saw the set-apart city, new Yahrushalayim, coming down out of Shâmayim from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from Shâmayim saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be their Elohim. Rev 21:4 “And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.” Rev 21:5 And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.” Rev 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. Rev 21:7 “The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Elohim and he shall be My son. Rev 21:8 “But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.” Rev 21:9 And one of the seven messengers who held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, “Come, I shall show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the set-apart Yahrushalayim, descending out of Shâmayim from Elohim, Rev 21:11 having the esteem of Elohim, and her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal, Rev 21:12 and having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written on them, which are those of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisra’ĕl. Rev 21:13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve emissaries of the Lamb. Rev 21:15 And he who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod, to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. Rev 21:16 And the city lies four-cornered, and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod: two thousand two hundred kilometres – the length, and the breadth, and height of it are equal. Rev 21:17 And he measured its wall: sixty-five metres, according to the measure of a man, that is, of a messenger. Rev 21:18 And the structure of its wall was jasper. And the city was clean gold, like clear glass. Rev 21:19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, Rev 21:20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls – each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was clean gold, like transparent glass. Rev 21:22 And I saw no Dwelling Place in it, for יהוה Ěl Shaddai is its Dwelling Place, and the Lamb. Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp. Rev 21:24 And the gentiles, of those who are saved, shall walk in its light,1 and the sovereigns of the earth bring their esteem into it. And its gates shall not be shut at all by day, for night shall not be there. Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the esteem and the appreciation of the gentiles into it. Rev 21:27 And there shall by no means enter into it whatever is unclean, neither anyone doing abomination and falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. So if the questions of, "How does Messiah set on his Fathers throne, and yet not be sitting on his Fathers throne? And How can the twelve sit on Messiahs throne, if it is Yahweh’s throne?" was not made clear. Mat 19:28 And Yahushua said to them, Truly I say to you that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, (David's )you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 1Ch 29:23 And Shelomoh sat on the throne of יהוה as sovereign instead of Dawiḏ his father, and prospered; and all Yisra’ĕl obeyed him. They will share in his authority that he has received from Yahweh. Below are not all, but a few more scripture references.May Yahweh bless.
